Susan’s upbeat and enthusiastic personality is an invaluable trait when showing homes, which she has done with remarkable success since 1986. Her extensive knowledge of all the properties in the region, both listed and unlisted, commands the attention of the most qualified and interested clients. Like all of Washington Fine Properties’ team members, Susan is known for her ability to make the search for a home a pleasant and engaging experience. She was recognized by Real Trends/The Wall Street Journal as one of “America’s Best Real Estate Agents – 2014” by sales volume in Virginia and named in Washingtonian magazine’s 2015 list of “Best Real Estate Agents” in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

Leadership positions in both the community and charitable organizations provide Susan with an exceptional referral network and insight into the communities where her real estate activity is concentrated.
Susan grew up in a military family and has lived in Germany, Ecuador and Chile, as well as in cities across the U.S. She graduated from the University of Kansas and spent her junior year at the University of Madrid. Susan is fluent in Spanish.

She and her husband are avid runners, with each having completed over 20 marathons. They also enjoy “adventure” travel, having climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, visited the gorillas in Uganda, and trekked in the Himalayas, the Tour du Mont Blanc, the Inca Trail from Cusco to Machu Picchu, the Spanish Pyrenees, and the Cortina Dolomites.
